I got 2 glo-toob's [FX], one green (me), one blue (the wife).

They worked out extremely well on our night dive in Maui, and we're taking them with us to Bonaire (just a few weeks left, I can't wait!)

Easy batt. replacement, near indestructable, BRIGHT! (even on "low power" mode), and easy to work with size.

If you really want something nice, get the belt clip they have for them, I got two of those also, it's a 2" clip (made to fit a gun belt) and just so happens to slip over a tank band perfectly. The toob "snaps" into place, and it's secure enough for me not to worry about loosing the toob.

Just my 2 cents...

I now have 4 of the FX models....wouldnt trade them for anything!! I have 2 white 1 green 1 red...... The white ones are even great Lil flashlights if you dont need to much light lights up a 4 person tent just right!! I had 1 flood at 120' but i didnt grease it right before I left for Roatan....but hey I opened it up dried it out and its working GREAT!! I think im going to see about replacing the o-rings on all of them w/ just a hair thicker ones...will see how that works!

I have two of the green Glo-Toob FX models and love them.

When it's just me, I attach one to my tank valve a small loop of cave line slipknots around nicely... one tip, get the little rubber triangle anti-roll stands, which stop the toob from swinging and clanging the tank like a bell! (Lights up more, too, since it spreads the light) The other one gets loaned out when I dive with someone who forgot theirs, or sometimes I'll attach it to the back of my mask strap, which is great for surf entries at night, because you may actually find your mask if it gets knocked off!

I only wish they took standard sized batteries and that I could get rechargeables for them...

I also have a glo tobe and I love it. I pealed the label off to give me that little extra shine from it and I usually hang it from a BCD ring. I found that my blue one is quite visible at 30 feet in the murky waters of BC. The only time that it wasnt visible was during a decent near a river in early spring. The vis was litteraly arms reach until we broke 35 feet. In those conditions the only thing that will help you find your buddy is a rope.

I am thinking of getting a second one. Does anyone have any feed back on how visible the green one is? I am avoiding the red and yellow onees because of the spectrum issues.

Ditto on the Glo-Toobs. We have a blue one and a yellow one, and don't find the yellow one to be any less visible than blue.
