While rummaging though old stuff, I just found a Tekna Lite 4 (krypton bulb, 4xAA) that I bought sometime in the 1980s for camping/outdoors. Does anyone know if it would make a good backup dive light?

It has a rotating bezel switch sealed with a 2" O-ring. I remember the user documentation said it was explosion-proof, bulletproof and gas-proof, meaning it must also have been waterproof (I read on another forum that it was rated to 600 m (!)). Just want to make sure before taking it underwater.

Thanks!

Go ahead and use it, been using mine for 20+ years. Fits in bc pocket. Just don't forget to check o-ring condition.

Thanks, that's good to know. I might look into getting an LED bulb for it from Tek-Tite, too.
