Come hear from TEKDiveUSA.2016 presenter- Dan Wright. In the last few years he has pushed into the exploration realm, particularly into mine and cave exploration, while testing equipment from various dive manufacturers to the limit. While leading a project to explore a flooded mine in New York state, they discovered many unknown tunnels and located wreckage that had not been seen since it went under decades earlier. Dan is also into cave photography, well published and now making inroads into shooting HD video to document some of the exploration.

TEKDiveUSA.2016 speaker Elliott Jessup never spends a boring day underwater. Come be inspired by his tales of diving in the "Twilight Zone" between 50 and 150m deep. Elliott Jessup began diving at age 15, quit a “miserable corporate marketing job” in his 20s to become a dive master, then quickly shifted his focus to technical and scientific diving. After joining the California Academy of Sciences in 2011 to build and manage their Scientific Diving program — a department encompassing more than 80 active divers, from research scientists to aquarium biologists — he went on to develop that institution’s Twilight Zone exploration team, leading expeditions around the world to identify and catalog critical mesophotic reefs and species. Come learn more about the National Park Submerged Resources atTEKDiveUSA.2016. Brett Seymour is the Deputy Chief of the US National Park Service’s (NPS) Submerged Resources Center (SRC) based in Denver, Colorado. The SRC supports stewardship for the protection, preservation, public access, and interpretation of submerged resources, both in the US and internationally.Brett has been working as a full-time underwater photographer with the NPS since 1994. His work with the Service has provided underwater access to some of the United States most captivating national parks. In addition to making a whole new dimension of the Park system available to the public, for past two decades Brett has specialized in documenting historically significant underwater sites around the world. As project photographer on expeditions such as the 200 BC Antikythera shipwreck off Greece, the civil war submarine HL Hunley, the arctic exploration vessel HMS Investigator, and WWII sites throughout the Pacific including several hundred dives imaging the USS Arizona, Brett has connected the present to the past through underwater imagery. The use of technical dive equipment on dives that might not be considered the "average technical dive" is a large part of making this documentation and preservation possible.

We are working on the presentation schedule and will put it up as soon as possible. It is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle as people show interest in certain presentations and we juggle rooms.
