Katalog Tecline | Start

Hi,

I'm a beginner diver and i'd like to buy a bp/w this summer.
A shop offers a "travelset" bp/w from tecline for 430 euro.
Basically, a BP (alu), a wing ( donut 15 or 17l), DIR Harnass, CAM-bands, weights and trimpockets.
Anyone has any experience with tecline gear?
(I will be going to the store and asking whether I can test the equipment this summer, but wanted to hear some info first.)

Thx

It all looks like generic copies of other stuff. Nothing wrong with that, if manufacture quality is comparable also.

Wings look very 'high' on the backplates though..

Agree with DD, had a look at their site and mostly looks like generic copies/rebranded gear from other manufacturers eg some of their regs look like they're from the same factory as some of the DiveRite regs. A plate is basically a plate, ditto harness so hard to go wrong there, wing is hard to say without physically seeing one.

Did you guys notice they knocked off Tobin's original glide adapter?

No, but did notice the Hollis plate knock off and various other items.

Many US dive retailers will ship to the EU. For the price, over $550 US, you could get almost any brand except Halcyon.

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately, shipping from the US is very expensive.
The border guard adds 21% tax, import charges and administrative charges.
Some European online shops sell american brands, but unfortunately at very high prices.
I will try to find some local divers who've had experience with tecline.
