Tech Orientation - Northern Virginia

Virginia Scuba will be holding an orientation for prospective technical diving students on Jan 5 at 1 PM. This will be a chance for you to get information about and sign up for our first quarter tech diving classes. We will be offering Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures and Normoxic Trimix in Jan with the dives being done at 40 Fathoms Grotto at the end of the month. We will be offering a Hypoxic Trimx class in March with the diving being done in Ft Lauderdale. All of our technical instructors will there to answer questions. We won't be doing any cold water dives so a drysuit is not a requirement. We are planning to do the dives for our January class at 40 Fathom Grotto - the water temp there is around 68 to 70 - a 5mm with a hooded vest (or something similar) is usually sufficient. For our spring classes, we do the dives in Atlantic Beach, NC where the water temps are in the 70s+.

But, if you are in the market for a drysuit, we have DUIs in stock and carry DUI, DiveRite and White's. There are some of the new White's Fusion on the way - I tried one on at DEMA and promptly ordered one.
