Gang,

For years now we've always just walked from the terminal up to the circle where the taxis are and go from there to the hotel. When we were in Coz this past September they were rebuilding the circle and there were no taxis. Had to take the airport shuttle.

Does anyone know if the circle (and more importantly the taxis) are back there again? We're headed down to Coz on Feb 23.

Thanks!

-Charles

Taxi's cannot pick up from the airport....you have to do the bag drag out to the street where you will see some of them waiting to pick up....otherwise you will need to take the vans that are provided....you will need to get a transfer at the window past customs doorway pricing will vary since it will depend on where you want to be dropped off..Taxi's can drop you off at the airport on departure day.....

He is asking about the roundabout outside the airport grounds, the one (I think) with the conch shell sculpture in the middle of it. He knows that you have to take a hike to get a cab from the airport. Some people do that, but for me it would be far more trouble than just taking the shuttle.

aaahhhh got it.....:D

Well, just how far is it to the taxis (in feet)? I mean like a quarter mile or less? That wouldn't be too bad if the bag has rollers.

A couple hundred yards, I'd guess, but why? The shuttles aren't such a bad deal. Most of the taxis are compact cars with not much room for equipaje and you have to wait for one to come by. Last time I was there, when the shuttle I was on left the gates of the airport, there were two or three couples out by the street waiting for a cab, and they had come in on the same plane I was on. They would have probably gotten to their hotel faster if they had just taken the shuttle.

But why??? Because I don't plan on reserving a hotel room. I figure the taxista will find me a place to stay.

Hey! good idea... let the taxi drivers plan your trip!

I wish i would have thought of this years ago... all these wasted, boring vacations.

Well, OK. Good luck with that.

If i'm not mistaken, this is the same guy who plans on just showing up "at the docks" in the morning and thinks he's going to get on a boat.
