Tanks sitting and need a Vis

My 2 steel 120s have been sitting in a storage locker for about a year. I know it needs a Vis. Should I blow them down, and get the vis before using them next, or should I dive them and then get the vis?

I live in Canada, the locker is not heated in the winter, if that matters.

I'd use up the air and go diving! I've used tanks that have been sitting around much longer than a year without issues.

Although if you don't want to deal with the downtime getting tanks inspected, the winter is a good time to drain them and get them inspected.

Unless you were going to have to get them refilled during the dive trip if use them up then drop them off for a vis and fill.

IMHO, sometimes a little water can get in there. In a perfect world steel tanks wouldn't rust on the inside, but they do. The air can go stale

an unheated locker in Canada? You might find that you don't have the air you think you do in them when you check on them....
