Tank Weight

Novice here. I am reading posts about Dive Ops using steel 120's. What is the weight difference from an AL80 when filled?

google huron tank specs that should tell you all.

they are most likely using steel for the bouyancy aspects than the weight

So I am guessing that a 120 steel tank is roughly 20 lbs heaver than an AL 80. Just had back surgery and weight is of particular interest to me now.

Hey KWS, anyone in the area doing OW certs? Got a friend who is interested.

There is probably about 20# difference full but you can drop 6# of lead with the 120 so net 14# difference.
