I know of, at least one, dive operator who won't let those on their boat or be filled in their shop. I wish all would do this. How stingy can you actually be?
They aren't coming in my garage, to my fill station, or on my boat. If you're that much of a cheap arse then we are not aligned on priorities in diving.

The argument that SLC happens slow enough to be caught by a visual or VE is false. The VE is also stupidly expensive around here and putting $55 for hydro and VE into an Ebay vintage 80 is dumb.

curious since the burst disk was mentioned - would the burst disk go first on a steel tank? This story is crazy

Not necessarily. There have been plenty of poorly maintained and rusty lp72s that have ruptured too

Article is light on details. Was this a partial pressure nitrox fill getting filled with 100% O2

No update so far the tiktok video I enclose below does say when filling an oxygen tank but with presenters license most will say oxygen as its better understood by the public at large.

The photo I posted earlier shows a standard Bauer air compressor.
And as its just another hotel facility for guests offering scuba among a mix of other stuff
I think for the time being a cylinder explosion using air is all to go on.
