Hey Missdirected, I know the owner of EZ Scuba. He is a great guy. What's the problem with his shop? Just curious. I'm sure he would rectify any problem!!

Eric yes he is a nice fella. I've known him for many years. I've also watched many people whom have started their process there but most eventually end up leaving. I personally don't care for the sales tactics - particularly with newbs.

Try Tampa Adventure Sports on Fletcher Ave in Tampa. It's good for recreational and Tech.

The least expensive place in Crystal River is the Crystal River Dive lodge. Birds underwater is another place people like.

Just a slight correction. Tampa Adventure Sports is on Fowler. They have a great shop.

I have been there as well. It was a nice shop. There are a few really good shops in the area. I personlly would recommend Tampa Adventure Sports as well. I did my last class through them and found them to be very accomidating and all around nice people. I think alot of the decision falls on what organization you are certified through. That's just me though. I don't have any shops I wouldn't recommend checking out at least once.

I recently switched to Divers Supply on Gun Hwy in Tampa. Their service on my equipment is quick and great, and Ive yet to have to wait for an air fill. They have a wide assortment of equipment on display and always ready too help. And from my point of view their pricing on quality equipment is very competitive

Only 2 places in Tampa will get my money.

I will drive 30 minutes and pass 4 other dive shops (most were listed in this thread) just to go to Divers Supply.

Wide selection (most of the other stores only carry one or two brands)

No-pressure people (I know it's a business, but I HATE it when people try to pressure me into buying something or keep pushing their upcoming trips)

Good prices (internet prices with local dive shop convenience and factory warranties (no gray market))

If I need a quick airfill, a spare part, or an emergency rental, I will go to Tampa Adventure Sports on Fowler.
