I am a 6'5 male, 180 lbs. It is nearly impossible to find a wetsuit that fits properly. Anyone have any ideas other than a custom suit that would cost a fortune.

Custom suits really don't cost all that much.

Call your LDS and ask how much they are.

Is it the height, or the slim factor (6'5" and under 200# is slim) that's getting you?

I'm 6"8 and fit nicely into an Akona 5X one-piece 7MM off the rack.

Check them out here. They are not that expensive, are made well, and are pretty common so finding a dealer shouldn't be that bad.

Does that help?

Before I went dry I dove 3xl akona 1 piece, and it was too loose on my torso. I am 6'5 240, so I imagine that it would be way too loose on you. the 2xl was too short for me so I doubt that would work for you either. Have you tried the hyperstretch suits at all? I never have but have heard they are great for us odd sized folks.

I have not seen them mentioned in a while but there use to be a company called Liquidfit that made custom fit wetsuits. All I ever heard about them was good. You might want to look them up and give them a try.
