Well, I just got back from the LDS here. I just ordered 2 LP85's (had to order them together to make sure they're the same size for future doubling) & a AL40 pony bottle. Lots of $$$ of course. Right now I'm going to dive the LP85's as singles. My instructor suggested I stay with them as singles, to get used to the weight & then double them up later this summer. I talked at length about not wanting to do to much at one time & this was decided to be the best solution. I'll Be in doubles by the end of the summer.

Congrats! By the end of the summer I think John, Kenny and I will be the only folks in the group diving singles at Joe's. Hey, at least I know there'll be alot of air available if I need it.

I don't think I could get out of the water with doubles!!!!!!!

To be honest.... I'm not sure I can either:rofl3: . That's why I'm waiting a bit before going doubles.:eyebrow:
So in the mean time, you're working with a personal trainer, right? "Pump .... you up!" (spoken in my best Hans and Franz accent) :D

With your SAC, I am sure you don't need a double when I dive in double. :D

I love the idea of having a 40cu ft pony. That is definately the way to go.

Also, you don't have to climb out of the water with your double-rig on. Depending on where I am diving, I sometimes take off my BC and fins as I am exiting the water.

Very good advice on the doubles Tammy, I learned the hard way. My twins will be used as singles till I get more comfortable with the dry suit. One thing at a time!

Yeah, I learned about task over loading during my AOW deep dive the hard way & almost wound up in a bad panic situation at 85'. I try to stay as far away from that as I can.
