Beautiful Erika! The nudibranch #2 is Phidiana hiltoni. I drive by Tajiguas all the time but have never thought to dive there. Can you tell me a little bit about the facilities, entry, parking, etc. Thanks and once again, beautiful photos. ++Ken++

Tajiguas is one of my favorite dive spots, but I never bring my camera since I don't want to navigate the cliff with my gear and my dSLR. Parking is at a road cut on the side of the freeway. There is a path down the cliff that is pretty easy to navigate with gear on, except for one spot, which is a little tricky. You have to cross railroad tracks to get to the path. Make sure that you have your hood down as the trains approach very quickly with no warning. This beach gets trashed pretty quickly, but you can thank the Paradise Dive Club in Santa Barbara for cleaning it up twice a year (Coastal Cleanup Day and Earth Day).

Here is my description of how to get to the beach (from the south).

To get there take Route 101 north PAST El Refugio State Beach. About
2 miles north of Refugio is a left hand turn lane which will allow you
to make a U turn onto the southbound side. Proceed south about a 1/4
mile to the Tajiguas parking area which is a road cut on the right
side of the freeway. Finally, here is an image of the parking area

I love it there..... ive gotten out to 40ft their....... Like he said in previous post you park on the side of the road...... The Trail is not that bad just watch your step and take it slow....... I dont see why not to take the camera down there. The entry is pretty easy just a little hike..... only down fall is no Restrooms.....usually have good viz after santa ana winds....
