So:

Nitrox --> Air = Okay
Air --> Nitrox - requires special cleaning before it can be converted.

Thats ALL I needed =P
Air --> Nitrox only needs special cleaning if the shop you are getting fills from uses "partial pressure blending".

If you don't know what that is, you're probably not Nitrox certified. In that case, just enjoy diving your tanks with air until you're ready for Nitrox certification. Once you're certified, you'll know the answer to the question: You MAY need to get your tanks specially cleaned before filling, depending on the shop.

Just always put a label of the tanks contents and don't put on a Nitrox sticker. The nitrox sticker doesn't mean diddly squat.

To the dive shop I deal with, the Nitrox sticker means he will do the Nitrox fill. No sticker he won't. He uses the Partial Blending, so that means pure O2 in the cylinder, which likely will exceed 40% until its deluted with Air.
