Thalassamania:That can be a piece of it. The jock that jumps in and whips off a sub 25 sec 50 meters you know has the watermanship (and is going to be an attitude problem), the guy who starts of doing the elementary backstroke or sidestroke, but never changes pace or stroke but finishes a few seconds ahead of the deadline well you dont really know about him till the end.
Forgive my reasking this question, I'm not sure if you didn't see it or chose not to respond, but I am really hoping you will. I would like to understand why you would feel a strong fast swimmer is the sign of an attitude problem, not the sign of someone who is showing commitment to something, thus enebling this great swimming that you see. I allways see that as the sign of a good attitude, and I'm curious why your experience has led you to the opposite conclusion.
Thanks
Also as an aside,
Thalassamania:Kari, nothing hasty there, those two go way back on this subject.
I believe you are mistaken. I can't find any instance of Walter and I discussing this subject before. I've only been active on SB since last month, and from checking through my previous posts it would appear he and I never spoke before the 8th of this month. I haven't really had time to be going way back with anyone about anything.
