Things fall of the table over time, so to have some verified closure to the topic I'd like to post here in this thread that the recent SW update I installed this morning (12/12/2018), and the files exported from the program subsequently came in correctly to Subsurface. I am thankful to those that helped diagnose the issue and resolve it.
