The vertical scale on the right side of the screen indicates ascent rate. There's also a vertical scale on the left side of the screen. What's that for?

Just noticed that I'm in the Garibaldi group. Saw lots of them on my qualification dives at Catalina Island, and proud to be one of them.

Thanks,
Dave

What does the manual say?

What does the manual say?
Interestingly the Zoop Novo manuals online I found didn't say anything.

To the OP
It is the "Consumed Bottom Time" or nitrogen loading bar graph depending on who you talk to and which manual you read.
I found an old Zoop manual, essentially it is the same computer: http://ns.suunto.com/Manuals/Zoop/Userguides/Suunto_Zoop_UserGuide_EN.pdf
Page ii and then again on page 32

May be beneficial to download a read so you understand all the functions.

Thanks. I did download and print the manual, but found nothing about the left hand bar indicator, nor did my web search turn up anything. The old Zoop model had a single bar indicator for ascent rate. In any case, I've posed the same question to Suunto.

The left bar must be nitrogen loading.
Daveco too.
