Hi,

Anyone experienced this.

Changed battery in transmitter unit on Suunto. Checked it handshook with computer and gave contents reading. 2 days later went to dive and nothing.

Took battery out, flat as a pancake. Assumed faulty battery. Ordered a new one put in. Checked voltage in cradle fine. Left it 20 mins or so. Showing very low voltage in cradle, took it out and voltage down at 2.5. Have I got some sort of short draining the battery, going to check a little later and see what the voltage is then.

Any input appreciated.

Thanks

1 hour later and voltage out of the cradle is 1.5 volts.

Only way to know if you have a transmitter problem or bad batteries ( and sometimes you may get 3-4 that have been sitting on a shelf for years ) is to send unit back to Suunto, for testing or try several batteries....I use to have a Suunto Vytec DS.....Never had a problem w/it.....Just didn't like how finnicky they were, or their customer service, or their cheap bands, or AL's refusal to acknowledge problems and correct them.......
