I have a Suunto "Vyper" and like it. For the price I felt it was teh best bang for the buck, boght it about a year ago. I need to get my girlfrind a dive computer, just wondering if that is still the best one to get?

We dive about 3-4 times a year usally on vacation.

With those qualifications, I'd say yes. You know how to use and can help her. If one quits, the other one knows how the computer works too. It is conservative, but that's ok for the type of diving that you do. Go for it!

I got my Vyper about 6 months ago
and have no complaints at all.

In fact, my dive buddy offered to buy mine
if I wanted to get something else but I dont.

Can't go wrong with the Vyper. Many of the ladies prefer the Mosquito for its more petite size--has same features, same algorithm, same menu, less expensive. Very comfortable to wear as a watch during surface intervals as well! BTW-Mosquito was my first computer and is also the choice of several of my male dive buddies.
