I have a Suunto Mosquito, that despite being very old, is in excellent condition so is still used.

The other day I noticed that one of the buttons wasn't working, so I took the case apart to repair it. One of the gold connectors between the button and the circuit board had somehow come away from the button itself so when I pressed the button it wasn't touching the gold contact and therefore the circuit board.

The problem is fixed and the button is now working correctly.

But, when I took the case apart 2 tiny (and I mean tiny!) gold springs fell out. I can't for the life of me figure out where they should fit. So my question is, does anyone know where they should go?

It might be worth mentioning that as far as I can tell, the computer is working as expected in terms of functions and going through the different menus. I've not tested it diving yet but I can't see 2 very loose springs playing much part in the dive functions.

Can anyone help please!?

Thanks, I should have clarified. They are definitely not for buttons. There are four buttons (and only 2 tiny springs) and their springs are bigger and all intact in the correct place.
