I think the endless bugs that hoosier is refering to is those that are in the PC logbook application. It generally does a good job, but there are definately some QC issues in the Suunto PC development department..

Bingo!!!....

You know how much D9 costs... Suunto can make their DM (Dive Manager) better than that.

In addition to the compass, if you don't use the compass that much and just follow the DM, it will be fine. Otherwise, it is useless and only holds the compass mode in 2 min (As I recall). And, you need to re-calibrate the compass wherever you visit the different dive site.
What is the conveninet point?

Yes, I am doing a lot of survey practice....

Just my 2 bar.

hmmmm after reading the feedbacks above..shud i get it?? i m really confuse hahaz..there is YES and NO going inside my head..

Itemjin,

It is totally depending on your priority.

What is the most important feature on your diving profile?

To me, the compass, three gas switch, and small size were the most attractive points, But it turns out be "So So" features. As I recall, I was the first members who pointed out the limited compass ability on the board almost two years ago. Whenever I met the local diver who had D9 at the diving site, they didn't understand what I was talking about, but they know it for now. I also misunderstood the three gas switch feature. I thought I could use three transmitters in underwater (No DIR spirit at all) However, the size is the big pros on D9.. You can wear it as the normal watch during the diving trip. The ScubaPro Smart Tec can use three transmitters in underwater like Atom, but you can't wear it on the street (too big).

Therefore, nobody can answer the right answer....
