Did you contact DSS and inquire re postage? They have also shipped lower value items standard USPS which for a bungee mount would be less than $10 IIRC.

If you can't find a bungee mount in your area, how about just removing the rubber straps and inserting bungee cords under the strap pins? this is from a Vyper Air - but i think the gekko should be similar?
