We had a BLAST!!!!! and YES it was cold with the wind nipping at our toes (hey Kev, can I get some little black dots too?)
THIS WAS THE MOST FUN i HAVE HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME. A good reminder why I do this. I had excellent dive buddies, a top notch Captain (Lynn just rocks ya'll) and my very own Instructor showing us around.
I was in total amazement when Eric pointed out what was making the speargun shooting sound. He signaled for me to follow him, and I was sooooo there. That big piece of metal certainly wont be there for long.
I hate to admitt it, but 15 mintues into dive 2, one of my favorites the Captain Tony, I called the dive for me. I was sooooo cold that it just was no longer fun anymore. I was completely fine with surfacing alone (we even had a line) but Mr. Kevin wouldn't hear of it as he escorted me to the surface and back onto the boat. He even looked around for a jacket for me and when one couldn't be located, advised me to hit the hot water shower. (I'm talking I was so cold the it hurt, for whatever reason, my body couldn't warm up. I'm still not sure why, maybe cause I was in the pool for several hour "freezing" my um..... yeah, freezing... but I had the feeling I would never be warm again) Eric even handed over his one and only shirt to try and help (Thank you, I dont think I told you so on the boat)
Lunch was awesome.. watching the shark like cat fish sworm eat french fries and pieces of bread was truly great dining entertainment.
Like Eric said, Conch's and wanna-be conchs... you have to try this mid-week winter diving with us soon. The boats are no where near as packed.. Hey E, I'm in for the 1st... I love diving out with Kevin, we should kidnap him so he wont have to babysit anyone and can dive for fun with us... I promise to go buy a thicker suit before then and to bring my Parka for the SI.....
Thanks for sitting this up! It was awesome!
