Surface Interval Scuba (SI Scuba) will be holding a sidewalk sale on Saturday, May 15th from 10AM to 4PM.

We invite you to come out and enjoy this opportunity to swap gear, meet new dive buddies and interact with other divers in the area here at the beginning of the spring/summer dive season!

This is perfect time for anyone who has used dive gear lying around and individuals looking to purchase such gear. There are frequent inquiries at our store for used dive equipment and assistance with selling it. Now here is your perfect opportunity! We’d like to invite you to bring in your used gear and put it out for sale for a nominal fee which is applied only if it sells. Please contact the shop for more details. If you would like to sell your gear you’ll need to drop your gear off at the store prior to May 12th; we’ll register and label your items, record your asking price and give you a collection ticket for tracking purposes. Along with the ability to buy and sell used dive equipment, we’ll have exciting in-store discounts on new gear too low to advertise.

Visit the SI Scuba website for more information at siscuba.com.

This sounds familiar...........best of luck.

...a somewhat cryptic remark......what am I missing ?

It sounds like a good idea, I've got a TON of pretty good stuff I need to liquidate and I don't want to screw with E-Bay listings/shipping/etc., so I've already started boxing up some stuff the the 'sale' tonight, and I'll get really serious gathering the goods together this weekend, I could easily show up with a few thousands of $ worth of surplus regs/wetsuits/ BP's/ neoprene goods (beenies/booties) / weight systems/ masks /snorkles/ lights/ hoses/ wings...and on and on and on......if I end up bringing as much extra/surplus gear as I think I will, it will be worth it to go just to see MY stuff, much less what enyone else brings. :)

if anyone is looking for gear, let me know what you're seeking and I'll let you know if I'm going to be offering it at the 'sale' ......I'll have a much better idea after this weekend exactly what all I'll be bringing, but I already have a fair idea of what I'm liquidating generally.

Also, I take REALLY good care of my gear, and I own quality stuff, and much of it is new-in-box or very low mileage usage, so it's not a bunch of worn out 'crap'.

...and 'yes', I'm realistic on pricing, just like the rest of you I shop and compare prices on the WWW, so I plan to 'keep-it-real' on the pricing.

...just a small sample of what I'm selling:

Big Bertha (Zeagle) dual bladder wing (already attached to a Zeagle BP...I'll have to ck the box to see if it's steel or AL)
Deepoutdoors single bladder wing (I think it's 57# lift)
(3) back plates : 2 Zeagles and a Diverite...steel and AL
assorted Mares regs, some new-in-box...might toss in (1) or (2) Poseidon Jetstream reg sets/gauges
(2) Halcyon Xenon 3-C cell scouts
(1) UK 'pistol' light C4 'E led'
(4) green tank marker lights (battery powered), including 2 of them with a rechargable battery + including the charger
several large beenies
neoprene gauge protectors
waist mounted (velcro and zipper) pockets (Diverite and Zeagle) that slide onto 2" webbing.
about a 'bazillion' assorted LP hoses (both BC and reg).....all in either barely used or new condition in many different lengths
might toss in a couple of essentially new men's "L" semi-dry wetsuits

NO...I meant it in good standing, nothing hidden in the statement.....I just remember doing them each year when Debra owned the shop....some worked out well, others did not.....please re-read my last 3 words! PS- please add your SB bio.. For a "...a somewhat cryptic remark....", be at one of Timeliners 'Bone Ceremonies'! :)

scubafanatic... It sounds like you have quite a bit of gear! Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm very excited about the event and I hope we have an amazing turn out! The more gear people bring in the better. And, Alan thank you for your positive encouragement.

I enjoyed doing them. I got the idea from Emerald Sea Divers and Adventure Scuba. Every year there is a big scuba marketplace in Houston or south of there. It's great way to move some of your gear or getting something else for cheap. You know what they say one man's trash is another man's treasure. Scubafanatic has more gear than anyone I have ever known. I can say that he takes really good care of his stuff!

Hi Debra,

Yeah, I miss your garage sales, so I'm overdue to thin out the herd again. While I'm not selling any of my 16 tanks... :) I do have a fair amount of other goodies I need to flush out of my system. 25 (approx) assorted length 2nd-stage LP reg hoses

...and as Debra has commented, it's all either NIB, new but not in a box, or if used ranges from excellent to very good used condition items.

Karl

I think the Scuabdillos used to do a community scuba garage sale too. Looks like you have quite a list. I expect nothing less from you. I am not even sure scubafanatic quite covers it?!
