isn't a 7D a crop sensor?

Yes, by a factor of 1.6x

And I need to Google this Nauticam SMC as I use a 7D with a 100mm F2.8L macro myself :D

I have tried it with the 60mm Canon 2.8. Working distance is short (1 inch) and not as much magnification when you try to get a reasonable 2 inch from lens. I would recommend it with 100mm not the 60mm

beautiful.........I mean beautiful......good going......need to see some more..!!!

EDIT, just got to page 2, those Rhino's are fantastic......more, more....lol

Here's two from yesterday's dives. Also, in Anilao. Seems I won't be using my 60mm for awhile.

Orangutan Crab - About 10mm long.

I have used the SMC with my Tamron 60 and the 1.4 teleconverter. Amazing. I will try to dig up some recent pics.

If it works the same as on land 60mm+1.4x tc=84mm x 1.25 magnification of water due to flat port=105mm x any crop factor multiplication

Teleconverters do worsen the image though am not sure to what extent at macro level, if it is CA this can be eliminated. With my 70-200 on land I do get some loss of sharpness
