I'm planning to pop into Vancouver in a couple of months time and was hoping to get in a bit of diving.
I have always loved the area round the Lower/southern Sunshine Coast (not to mention it's a quick ferry ride up there) but never had the opportunity to dive there.
What are some of the highlights and must sees?
Any recommendations of good dive operators?

Thanks

Louie

diving arodun the Sechelt area a couple of weeks ago, and am going again next week!!!

The diving here is tremendous, I really enjoyed it, and we easily had 50 ft vis (at one time I was at 60 ft and could still make out the bottom of the boat.

I have included two links for you, one for BC Dive Sites: http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/kerryw/scuba/divesite.htm, and the other for Porpoise Bay Charters (which has been mentioned a few times on a number of threads): http://www.porpoisebaycharters.com/. PB Charters is based out of Sechelt/Porpoise Bay Area, if you are looking for another charter based out of the Pender Harbour area, this is a phone number for a charter from there: 1-888-844-0099. Both were very good, and very knowledgeable of the local dive sites. I would definitely recommend diving to see Homer and Marge (2 resident Wolf-Eels), and to do the Power Lines dive (inquire at either charter for more information).

Hope this helps!!

PS: the PB Charters link is in the above post too... I think I'm blind sometimes.. <sigh>

Seachelt is great diving and so is Nanaimo area.
I wouldn't brag to much about Porteau Cove, it insn't anything to write home about.
