Hello All. I had a screw cross thread and break during battery replacement. I was able to get the broken piece out but now need to get a replacement. Does anyone know what size screw is needed? I checked the Sunnto D6i manual and it does not list the size. Thanks

So, I contacted Suunto. They will not sell me replacement screws. They said I need to send it in. All I need is two replacement screws. So I contacted a service center and asked if they could and was told that the battery is not user replaceable. So I ended up sending it in just to buy 2 new screws. Very frustrating.

That's a bummer. I may need to do the same thing with my own D6i as the heads themselves look like they may have been stripped.

@KJ,

We do have some torx head (not cross head) stainless steel and black titanium screws for the D6i. But we do not sell them separately. We use them to service the Suunto's D6i of clients like you. The service includes installing a fresh battery, replacing the O-ring, and conducting a pressure test to 160 feet. If the screws need to be replaced, we can also do that. Thanks for reaching out. Luckily for me it turned out that the heads were not too chewed up so a T-5 torx screwdriver took them all off cleanly all I completed the battery and o-ring replacement easily. I took it in to LDS for pressure test as well.
