This is a steel crossarm anchor that we found on Saturday and brought up Sunday. It is a little under a 1000 lbs. and is in tip top shape, maybe 130 years old and from a small schooner.

Nice find !!!
That is one big anchor .
What did you use to bring it up ?
How did you get it to dry land ?

That's not just a big anchor, that's a big picture of a big anchor.

My friend Dave has the rights to it he spoted it first. I put a 2000 lbs pillow bag on it. And this being one of the smaller anchors we broke it down under the water and put the boat trailer in 5' of water and set the anchor on it. When these were not used on the ship they would brake them down, pull the wedge key out of the crossarm and it would fold up on the deck for storage.
