Yea, the diving is quite spectacular here. This year I dove both coasts of Mexico, South Florida, Cavern diving at Dos Ohos with 300' viz in fresh water, 89 degree water, etc, loved it but.....was glad to be home diving.

If I had to choose between diving warm water in the Caribbean, Florida, etc and Northern California, I'd choose the Northern California. Don't get me wrong I loved diving in those other areas too. I've heard other divers say this too and can't quite put my finger on it.

The water's colder, you need so much more gear, the viz is not as good...but still the experience is phenomenal!
