Sorry you guys got blown out this weekend, but my group had a great time at Ginnie. We dove the springs and drifted the river looking for artifacts. I am a newbie at rock hunting and didnt find much but it was still better than staying home.
It seems the most abundant "artifact" in the Santa Fe river were sunglasses! I must have seen a dozen pair! I brough one back for show and tell as well as two masks, but tossed them in the trash.
The river could also use a good cleaning. There are several million beer bottles and cans.
Artifacts found were some stone knives, animal teeth, and a meg tooth.
