Did the Trench and Second Reef again. Vis in the trench was less than stellar, but second reef was awesome. Lotta lost nets.

Cruised around for a while and found a pretty ballsy whitemouth moray.

Everything else was sort of uneventful until my buddy and I surfaced on our way back. We popped up at the beach side of the trench to check our navigation skills...we were a little off. So we popped back down and right in front of us was a turtle cleaning station. They were all checking their oil and air pressures, wiping their windshields, and filling their tanks.

Some synchronized swimming...

Headed over to shark's cove after that and my camera ran out of batteries...
good day, though.

great turtle shots!

it's funny how you can see the coolest things right close to shore..

i was at haleiwa a few weeks ago just snorkeling within 50yds of the beach..
and found not one.. but two snowflake morays of different sizes
and both were paired with their very own blue-fin-trevaly..
one of the fish was a hefty 2 feet long..
and this larger pair actually swam almost right up to the beach.

another time.. we found the biggest turtles on the island..
they were just left of the lava rock outcropping..
again.. right near the shore in only 5 feet of water.

excellent photos! i wanted to dive, but i had to work sunday =(

My first thought was... those turtles have good trim, with the exception of the one dragging his fins across the reef. He needs some buoyancy training.

Really nice pics. I keep telling myself that I should get a camera but then I come back to the realization that I would probably suck at it.

I just got through looking at your photos on flickr. First, you got one hell of an eye. There are some great photos both above and below water. Second, Eddie kind of scares me.

You do have a good eye! And I think that Eddie is very photogenic!:D
