Come one, come all, for a diving and family day this Sunday at
Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach!

The festivities kick off at 7:00am, meeting at Crescent North for
the first dive of the day. We'll be hitting the often-undived south
side of Crescent. Great reef structure, lots of nooks and crannies
and places to explore.

If you have family and like me, they're not exactly thrilled about
the idea of being at the beach at 7:00am, no worry. My wife, kids
(10 & almost 13), and even my 77 year old dad are coming later in
the morning to join in - around 11:00am. We're planning to stay for
the entire day.

Dive #2 will take place late morning or noon-ish. The plan is to
hit either Pinnacles and Seal Rock on the north side, or Deadman's
if everyone is feeling energetic for a long swim.

Also planning a possible dive #3. I only have two tanks, so a visit
to Laguna Sea Sports for air is in order. Since parking will be at
a premium later in the day, we may opt to pile tanks into one
vehicle for the fills.

The weatherman predicts it's a sunny day with 68-degree high at
Laguna. Dive conditions appear to be reasonable, with viz today running 10-15'. Crescent is protected from the big west swell currently going on.

I plan to setup camp on the beach following the first dive and will bring a big tarp so we can layout dive gear and keep the sand out. Look for the dive flag marker. Hope you can join us. Families not required, all are welcome.

Thanks
Kevin Glenn
