Is there some sort of calendar or schedule for events in the Colorado area? A buddy of mine was wearing a SB tee shirt and said he got it at some event at Chatfield Res... just interested!

I've dove in Powell several times and would agree that May is the best time. Generally less boat traffic, run off has slowed and water temp is tolerable. I like to dive the Cathedral Canyon or Lost Canyon. Not much to really see if you dive off the main channel unless you like wall dives that go into a black abyss. :blinking: Lots of goodies to be found if you're looking.Rick,
Some friends who have been diving in Lake Powell say that early in the year (May)is the best viz. I haven't been there myself.

Flaming Gorge is loads of fun also. Here is a good link for the 'Gorge' Been on this 'tour' that Scott Gudmundsen mentions several times. Read about the dive down the river below that dam. Grins and giggles but not for the novice.
