hey guys.. dont know much about this yet.. but there is someone locally Selling a wetsuit. Full Mares suit in my size for really cheap!.. but its 3mm? Would this be okay for lake diving.. Keep in mind i dont mind chilly water!..

No Michael, a 3 mil would not do for lake diving in this region... you could wear a full 3mm in the Thousand Islands region in the summer and early fall but that's because there is no thermocline. For diving in lakes where the bottom temperature will be between 4 and 8 celcuis, you will find a 6 or 6.5 mm two piece may be the least you need to help keep you comfortable. In fact it is more than comfort. Getting cold underwater can be extremely dangerous. I would suggest you try a rental for one dive to see where your comfort zone lies. For lake diving, you will also need a hood and gloves.

This suit is not a good idea for diving in TGWN.

Personally, I'd go for a drysuit. :thumb:
