Suggestions for where to stay in Roatan, please.

There's a lot of information you're missing, I think. Are you looking for a high-end resort with little diving? Are you looking for something that's quiet and isolated? Do you want as cheap as possible while being right next to the main diving/dining/partying locations on the island? Family or alone?

Never been so don't know what's available. My wife usually takes care of these details.
No to high end resort.
We like to walk through "town" of where ever we're staying so no to isolated.
Having said that, don't want to stay next to the "party zone" either... both in our 60's so need our sleep!
Cheap if it's reasonable accommodations would be great.
Just wife and myself.

I highly recommend them! They're located at the end of West Bay Beach, so not right in the middle of the madness. Yet...if you want to stroll to the beach, it's easily accessible.

West End is where the "main strip" of Roatan is. It's "Main Street" of tourist-town. This is where the highest concentration of restaurants and dive shops is. It's also where the drinking goes on, and there's not really a good "beach" in West End (There's one on each end, but I don't love either). West Bay has the beaches and is kind of a long row of resorts. They're not super high end but they're definitely "nicer" than the West End spots. Most spots on West End are "dive bar" style.
The walk from Luna Beach to the nearest side of West End is about 15min on the beach. There are water taxis that take you from West Bay to West End, as well as regular taxis. Sueno Del Mar is on the far end of West End, nearest West Bay. On the opposite side of West End from Sueno Del Mar is Seagrape Plantation. I haven't been to Seagrape, but Luna Beach is much, much nicer than Sueno Del Mar which is basic but fine. It's also a little closer to some of the party spots you're trying to avoid than Seagrape or Luna Beach, but should be fairly isolated from a lot of that.

I've really enjoyed Hotel Chillies (Hotel Chillies, from budget to luxury.) and the associated Native Sons dive shop.
It's located on the East end of West End (ha!) and as such doesn't have too much foot traffic passing by all night, unlike some of the places towards the middle of the end. The cabanas are great, and they have hammocks and a "library" if you just want to chill.
DM Andrew is a great guy to dive with, and their boat is awesome.
All that said, I'd also like to put in a plug for the good folk at West End Divers (Gary & crew) - excellent folks, great place to hang out and enjoy the dive mentality.
As someone upstream said, West End does not have very nice beaches, but a cheap ($2?) water taxi down to West Bay solves that problem and is a lot of fun as well.
