The Gunsmoke is a shrimpboat wreck in 80 feet off south St Pete. It's partially buried and not very big, so it's only interesting for a short time. I'd do a charter to the Fin Barge or Sulfur Barge in the 85 foot range or move into the Tramp Steamer in 60 feet.

North and south Pinellas County sites are good dives when the weather has been good. Avoid the shallow ones, say less than 60 feet right now, and forget the beach dives, they will be mud.

Watch the NDBC weather buoy 42036, we've had 2 recent fronts and seas over 15 foot this week. Anything over 10 feet will often take out the visibility out to 100 feet or so. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/Florida.shtml
