My fellow Floridians,

I have a dive buddy coming down to visit in late January, and we're interested in taking the Rescue Diver course. We'd like to shoot down to Key West for a couple days and take the class down there, but I don't know who's hot and who's not. I'm hoping to find a shop who can teach it in 2 days... (one place I spoke to said it required 4-5 days- ouch!)

Any suggestions?

Don't short yourself on a short course. Go to KW for fun, save rescue for when you have the time to do it right.

+1 I Could not agree more with you!

2 days is very aggressive. While it might be possible to cover all of the standards - it would be 2 VERY long days, and it wouldn't be a worthwhile course.

The others are right - rescue will be the a challenging and very fun class. Don't short yourself on it.
