Suggesting a sticky for visitors

I'm a regular Monterey area diver so I read the NorCal forum. And I notice we get quite a few divers posting that they are going to visit and want some advice on this or that. What if there was a sticky that listed Monterey dive shops and linked Chuck's advice for first-time Monterey / Kelp divers?

If this is a bad idea, then just say so politely by writing "thanks, Bill. We'll consider it. Now shutup".

Chuck's pages as well as an index of links to boats/dive shops/hotels etc. would be helpful to a lot of first time and less experienced Monterey divers such as myself.

However, I wonder if there would be any conflict of interest with the site's business model which probably depends on a certain amount of paid vendor advertisement? Someone recommeding a specific charter boat in the context of a thread is one thing but a permanent list of vendors would be more like an endorsement of sorts no?

If the powers that be don't have a problem with it, it makes all the sense in the world.
