axua's rates are quite cheap for singles two dives.. but for me if your goin to stay there longer and dive often, might as well take the wreck specialty course coz im sure 1st timers at subic wont be able to do penetration dives which is the way to go when wreck diving, but if your just there for a daytrip/2 days, axua's rate is fine, being a ean diver is really an advantage in subic coz most of the interesting wrecks is in the 20m-33m range..

but if you wanna see the 'never-before-seen-super-hardcore-giant-groupers-infested-wrecks', johans adventure dive is THE place to go coz he's actually the one who searches for wrecks and i think he's the only one who has gps coordinates of ALL the known wrecks in subic (even the secret ones, bomber plane, phantom jet, p3 orions tail, kyo maru etc) which is a good thing coz most of the time, markers on even the most commosn spots are either stolen or severed by fishermen.. guess every dive shop there uses a speedboat coz everythings just so far in that area..

very interesting nightlife in subic if your into that kinda thing.. hehe..

share ko lng.. :)

o yeah the special spots are tek dives.. 42m-72m..

and there are 'pang-pinoy' and foreign nightclubs.. hehe..

Yeah, their coordinates are pretty spot on...

However, one of my concerns when I dove with them was when the boat left us while we were diving to return to a group of tech divers we dropped off earlier. I know, we may have been diving shallow(20-25m)...but I'm just not used to being left in the middle of nowhere, unless if I'm diving from shore.

Aside from that, the crew and the DM were fantastic...

Funny that you mention Johan's. That was my 1st dive trip last yr since I moved back out to Asia and got back into diving again. Johan's a good man and he's always got some really interesting characters hanging around his shop/ restaurant bar. That was also the 1st time I saw a full technical setup... I'm sure Johan would get a laugh if he knew I was doing trimix dives already...

nightlife... hmm... I remember doing a quick tour of the area... There was one bar that had a hilarious sign... M*ff Divers...
