Hi everyone.
Just adding 2 college student divers to the dive community.
My girlfriend and I are new divers. I was just certified, and she was certified one year ago. We don't own all of our equipment yet, but we're building up our collection. We'll probably rent regulators, bc's, and tanks for another year or so before we shell out some cash to buy our own.

Hope to find some people to dive with in Southern California.

Hi DB83,

Welcome to Scubaboard and to the wonderful world of diving. I'm sure you'll find lots of folks from So. Cal. to dive with.

Keep us posted on your progress with diving.

WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!
You will surely find many dive buddies,
especially if you look in the "Southern
California Kelp Divers" forum.
Congratulations on discovering the
worlds greatest, but not most expensive,
addiction... and the best place to relive
your experiences during required surface
intervals.

Not the most expensive? I cringed when you said that. Scuba is a hobby that is expensive enough. I don't want to think of another hobby that would be more expensive.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You could have met about 25 new buddies in Laguna Beach yesterday. We were diving all day and having a BBQ at Heisler Park. Be sure to check out the SoCal section of our California Kelp Divers forum. We're planning a big December dive now, but you can find people to dive with just about any day of the week if you just ask.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or respond to in this forum.

Is California Kelp Divers a dive club? Is there any membership fee? or is it just a group of people who arrange to dive together?

Also, where and when will be the next dive?
