Now that I have an (AOI UH-OM1-II) strobe trigger that supports only manual or Olympus RC mode, I'm curious what strobes support TTL via Olympus RC mode. I know about AOI Q1 RC, Sea&Sea YS-D3 Duo RC, and Backscatter Hybrid, and some Ikelite strobes using the RC1 TTL receiver. Are there others?

EDIT 1: fixed YS2 -> YS-D3
EDIT 2: started consolidated list
  • AOI Q1 RC
  • Backscatter MF2 and Hybrid
  • Ikelite RC1 TTL receiver + DS51, DS160II, DS162, DS230, or DS232
  • Marelux
  • Olympus UFL 1-3
  • Sea&Sea YS-D3 Duo

Yes, the camera needs to talk to the lens to make the exposure correctly. I think it should be possible to write firmware around this but for now, you need OLY (or OM systems) lenses.

I'm not going to say the T word, but they are cheaper in Europe, e.g.

Yes, that is true (I think they are like 900 euro). It is interesting about the Tariff BS. For a while Backscatter was selling AOI housings for the OM-1 for $1500 (expecting a tariff). Now they are back down to more reasonable prices. In any case, too big for the tiny things I like to shoot.
