Strobe solutions

Just looking at the:SeaLife Digital Strobe SL960D

But how does this one get triggered.
I found a lot of different websites but there are always seperate compulsorary packs either charges batteries or cables. How do I know I do or do not need a sensior and a fiberoptics cable

Don't know about the kit, but while the housing is affordable, the ports are pricey and they get about $700 for just the strobe housing. The strobe itself is about another $500.
