Any of the Inon strobes are pretty good with the Canons ... I use the Inon D180 (now superceded) and am pretty happy with its performance.

Depending on your budget, have a look at the Z240, D2000 or the D2000S all of which are very good units.

You will have to use the strobe as a slave from the inbuilt flash, and that is done with a fibre-optic cable and mounting hardware.
