It is a 300 bar only din fitting. You are probably used to seeing 200/300 bar fittings.hi

I would obviously never recommend anybody modify a fitting, but yes, it would work perfectly if the nipple is cut off.even when cutting, I don't believe there will be enough thread to screw in securely
Understood that the longer thinner nipple was there to ensure that a 300BAR fill whip could only be connected to a 300BAR valve/cylinder. And not fit in a 232BAR cylinder valve. Guess they don’t want the potential to have 232BAR cylinders filled to 300BAR? There are threads on here that explain it far better than me. For example:-I would obviously never recommend anybody modify a fitting, but yes, it would work perfectly if the nipple is cut off.
