I generally use an old film cannister to store my spare O rings. I have a couple of O rings that are too large to fit into my container without "ovaling" them somewhat, its not a hard bend just enough to fit. Is this a bad thing to do i.e. should O rings be kept flat and circular? the O rings in question are -026 and -029s. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I store mine flat, in the bags they came in, out of sunlight. I wouldn't think 'ovaling' them would do anything negative. They are rubber. I would be concerned that some leaching chemical from the old film canister may do something, but that could be paranoia.

Plastic bags for o-ring storage. Film canisters are good for storing & handling pistons and orifices.
