I have found a small (10in) extractor fan on one wall opposite the door creates a decent amount of circulation without having to go all out with a dehumidifier. I cut a few vents in the bottom of my door to increase the draft, then attached some mosquito netting to those vents for bugs and crap.
After drip drying my gear in the afternoon, it's dry to the touch the next day.
Saying that, a dehumidifier is better. Mine is cheaper
