Along time ago I was looking for a user name. After entering several of my favorites and found them already used I put in my initials fmw followed by my birthday 625, June 25. No one had it and so I have used it ever since.

doole:
I use dogs in particular as a gauge - if a dog doesn't like a particular person, I tend to keep my distance as well.

I use my dogs as a gauge, too. A depth gauge.

Only joking, of course!

My name is Bob Arlen and a former business partner from Naples, Florida used to call me “Snarlin Bob Arlen”. My wife thought that moniker was about as accurate as calling Shaquille Oneil “shorty”. My Naples dive clan thought it was hysterical. On a dive vacation to Grand Cayman, and after a number of brews at the Lone Star, a buddy (also named Bob) decided to call my nickname a “Snarlenism” and started renaming all present.

The rules of a Snarlenism is that the middle word must be your first name and the first and the last words must rhyme. The last word can be (but does not have to be) your last name. Beyond that, any thing goes. Try it. For some reason the game is a lot more fun after a liberal amount of alcohol.

Emilio came up with “ScubaBOBuba” for me and had everyone ROTFL. Needless to say the moniker stuck so I used it when I signed up here.
