been shooting uw video for appox. ten years.
i would like 2 go back to still for weight and bulk reasons...
$2k max in budget....any ideas or thoughts appreciated?

Take 5 minutes to scan thru the forum. You'll find your answer...Cannon, Nikon, Sea and Sea, Olympus, Light and Motion, Ikelite, etc....digital, or film, extra lenses, blah....

my choice would be oly C5050z & PT-015 with an Ike ds125 with manual controller..............just my 5 cents worth!!

first housing i ever had was an ikelite...it was for a 110 instamatic back in mid 70's.
been using video sea vid housings and would love to have them build a still housing, however they seem to of gone out of bussiness.

I can only echo the majority around here....Olympus C-5050 and housing. I prefer the Oly PT-15 but it's all personal choice. Ikelite will probably be closer to your video housing. There are several strobe choices...Inon D-180 or Z-220, S&S YS90 DX, Ikelite DS-XXX models.

Just read through this forum for just the last month, you'll find reference to all these. Your 2K budget will get you a jam up digital rig!
