Going from using steel 72s to the E7-100s/single tank config. Can I expect to add or maybe subtract any weight from my belt? The 72s are old Dacor tanks from the late 60s and early 70s. Thanks.

A steel 72 is close to neutral when empty, while an E7-100 is about 1.3 lbs negative when empty. So the difference in weighting is fairly small and you will only be able to remove about a pound from your weightbelt.

But on the positive side the E7-100's are only a few pounds heavier than a steel 72 so you are going to be gaining 30 cu ft of gas capacity for only about a 2 lb increase in total equipment weight (empty tanks).

Thanks for the info. I kind of thought there would be little or no difference with the weight. The added gas is a huge plus. That's probably the main reason I purchased a E7-100 and why I'm currently looking for another.
