hi wanting to make some cheapo handles for my housing (oly Pt-030) and was wondering what a 'standard tripod thread' size is? or whatever thread size the one on the PT-030 housing is?

thanks

Standard tripod thread is 1/4"-20

I think you might find that in some of the compact digital cameras the tripod threaded insert is a 12-24.

I know it is on my Fuji E-900.

The PT-030 uses 1/4-20, but make sure you get stainless or brass. If you use anything else, it will corrode quickly and you'll never get it out without destroying the housing. For cheapo tray ideas, check Gilligan's website or my recent posts in the SP-350 thread. I'm sure there are others in the DIY forum as well.
